Javelin Throw

Paper straw races! Here is an exercise that will bring out the “kid at heart” from your meeting attendees. I think almost everyone at one point in time has played with their paper straw wrappers at a restaurant, fighting the urge to shoot the wrapper at the person seated across the table.

Divide the group into 3 or 4 teams.  Draw a starting line.  Give each team a cup full of straws with paper wrappers.  Tear off one end.  The teams compete with one team member representing the team one at a time.  The trick is to blow the straw and shoot the paper the farthest.  The team who gets it the farthest gets 5 points, the second farthest, 3 point, third farthest 1 point.  Keep going in rounds until everyone has had a turn.
