Shoulder Toss Energizer

by admin | February 26th, 2010

Here’s a quick energizer game that you can play at your next day-long meeting that helps get the blood flowing again. It’s especially good mid-afternoon, when the after-lunch drowsiness is setting in. The whole point of energizers is to get people moving and laughing, clear the brain a bit. There’s no need to tie it into the specific themes of the meeting as that defeats the purpose of this sort of inclusion.

How to Play the Game

Place a bucket or pail on the floor and have a dish full of wooden clothespins.  Have each member of each team stand in front of the bucket with their back to it.  One team member hands clothespins to the team member in front of the bucket.  The object of the game is to toss clothespins over your shoulder as quickly as possible and see how many you can get into the bucket.

  1. I was going to say that this might be better with a more uninhibited group, but I think it could also be good for getting a shy, quiet group talking and laughing.
